Ciracas Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga explained that the first step of the handling process involves removing bridge debris that is currently blocking the connector channel.

"The bridge subsided on April 15, and as a result, this crucial access point for locals has to be temporarily closed," he remarked, Friday (4/17).

He explained that 25 personnel from the Ciracas Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Public Works Agency, and PPSU were deployed to provide an immediate response.

"We have also deployed a crane to speed up the process of clearing the bridge debris," he added.

He added that during the restoration process, Jalan Pule is undergoing a full closure for roughly one month. Drivers are urged to seek alternative roads in the vicinity.

"The bridge that subsided measures approximately six meters in length and 2.5 meters in width," he noted.

This action received appreciation from RW 10 Chairman, Ciracas Urban Village, Sukimin.

"The bridge collapsed as a truck was passing over it at approximately 4:30 PM last Wednesday," he explained.

He hopes the repairs can be completed promptly, as the road is a vital route for residents of Ciracas, Susukan, and Rambutan. Jalan Pule itself is known as a strategic link connecting Jalan Raya Centex and Jalan Haji Baping.

"This road serves as a primary and alternative access for residents' daily activities, including commuting to work, trading, and going to school," he emphasized.
